The Associated Industries Bright Promise Program for the 2009 school year provides 38 scholarships. These scholarships will pay for approximately 50 percent of one year's typical tuition for students who attend one of the Community Colleges of Spokane or who have transferred from one of the Spokane Community Colleges to Eastern Washington University.
Highlighting the value of community colleges as a great way to get training needed for a new career, the A.I. Bright Promise Program scholarships also assist those students looking to transfer from the community college system to Eastern Washington University to complete a four-year degree.
The program was also designed to ensure that Inland Northwest companies can continue to attract their fair share of top talent to drive future community growth. To do so, the scholarships are available for students in one of four key areas of study: Health Sciences, Business, Technology or Manufacturing Technology.
